Our Aim

Happy Hearts Day Nursery provides a high standard of childcare and our main aim is to make your baby/child feel as loved and nurtured as s/he would be within the home environment. You, the parents are your child’s first educators, whether the child is 6 weeks and you’re ‘teaching’ a routine, or 4 years and you’re introducing problem solving and sharing. We aim to work in a close partnership with you so that we, together, can give the very best possible start for your child.

The early years of a child’s life are fundamental to their happiness and general development and children need every opportunity to strengthen positive attitudes towards themselves, others and learning during these years. At our Nursery we will provide a loving, nurturing, stimulating, safe and fun environment, where we aim to teach sharing, caring and confidence building through encouragement, patience and praise.

All children are treated as individuals as staff are given responsibility for small groups of children through our key worker system. This enables the children to develop a special bond with one or two members of staff who understand them well and can comfort them when they need it.

• All our staff are trained to high levels, have full DBS certificates and are also chosen carefully in order for us to maintain a happy, caring and fun environment.
• The children’s learning is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Our activities are planned to promote development in the 7 main areas of a child’s early years.
